Australian Institute for Suicide Research and Prevention
AISRAP offers suicide prevention skills training, offering several levels from certificate courses to masters degrees with honours. The courses provide a range of practical skills and knowledge for those who work with people at risk of suicide. Post graduate courses additionally offer a comprehensive theoretical analysis of suicide.

Here for Life
Here for Life is a not-for-profit public benevolent organisation focusing on education, awareness and research aimed at the prevention of youth suicide. The organization provides resources, education and school based life skills programs to help prevent suicide amongst young people. Why? Because 10 young Australians will kill themselves this week and over 1,000 will attempt.

Mental Health First Aid Manual
In order to help people provide initial support for someone with a mental health problem, the Centre for Mental Health Research at the Australian National University has developed a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training course and the manual. The MHFA course is a 12-hour course developed in 2000 by Betty Kitchener and Professor Tony Jorm with the aim to improve the mental health literacy of members of the Australian community.
