American Association of Suicidology
The goal of the American Association of Suicidology (AAS) is to understand and prevent suicide.

Founded in 1968 by Edwin S. Shneidman, Ph.D., AAS promotes research, public awareness programs, public education, and training for professionals and volunteers. In addition, AAS serves as a national clearinghouse for information on suicide.

Centre for Suicide Prevention Canada
The Centre for Suicide Prevention has three main branches - The Suicide Information & Education Collection (SIEC) is a special library and resource centre providing information on suicide and suicidal behaviour. The Suicide Prevention Training Programs (SPTP) branch provides caregiver training in suicide intervention, awareness, bereavement, crisis management and related topics. Suicide Prevention Research Projects (SPRP) advocates for, and supports research on suicide and suicidal behaviour.

CommunityLIFE: Building Community Capacity for Suicide Prevention
The CommunityLIFE project aims to support groups in the community to plan and develop suicide prevention activities and programs. Community groups may include sporting clubs, neighbourhood groups, schools, religious communities, service clubs, student groups - in general people who are interested in extending and enhancing understanding of suicide and its causes.

Far North Queensland Suicide Prevention Taskforce
In June 1995 the FNQ Taskforce for the Prevention of Youth Suicide was formed in response to the alarming rates of youth suicide in the region. The work of the group has continued and expanded with many initiatives developed for the community. The groups goals are to implement, support and promote strategies which aim at the reduction of suicide and self-harm.

Make A Noise has developed a full training package for release to the general population. National Organization for People of Color Against Suicide (NOPCAS)

SAVE Suicide Awareness Voices of Education
SAVE was started in 1989 when six suicide survivors (people who have experienced the loss of a loved one to suicide) met and agreed on the need for an organization. The organization is comprised mostly of suicide survivors, and people that have suffered from depression.

Suicide Prevention Action Network USA, Inc. (SPAN)
SPAN USA was founded in 1996 by Gerald and Elsie Weyrauch of Marietta, Georgia, survivors of the suicide of their 34-year-old physician daughter, Terri. Their goal was to create a way for survivors of suicide - those who have lost someone to suicide - to transform their grief into positive action to prevent future tragedies.

The Mass Media Tools Project
The Mass Media Tools Project is a multimedia suicide prevention tools project funded under the national suicide prevention strategy.The project works with DOGIT Community residents across Queensland, to create suicide awareness and prevention videos. The videos tell real-life situations of Community residents and focus on active Community participation to reduce high suicide rates.
