How do I search for a resource?
To search for a resource click the resources link in the menu above or at the top right of the home page. You can then search for a resource in two ways. To do a quick keyword search, type your word(s) into the 'Search Resources' box on the resources screen and then hit the enter key or click on the go link to the left of the 'Search Resources' box. The Keyword search matches your word(s) to words anywhere in the resource record.
What is an Advanced Search?
If you are a registered member of the ACROSSnet website, once you have logged in, you may choose to do an advanced search. Advanced Search gives you more opportunities to specify which fields or areas of the records you would like to search. Once you have typed in your search word(s), click on the Advanced Search link to the left of the 'Search Resources' box. You will then be provided with some additional options to refine your search.
How do I browse for a resource?
To browse for a resource click the resources link in the menu above or at the top right of the home page. Underneath the 'Browse Resources' heading, resource categories are presented separately for either information on a particular topic or service sand organisations. Simply click on the topic you are interested in and you will be presented with a list of resources in that category..
How do I get more information on a resource?
More details on each resource can be obtained by clicking on the 'more details' link in the top right hand corner of the resource box.
Is there a 'What's New' or a 'New Resources' page?
The New Resources area can be found on the left hand side of the ACROSSnet home page and resources page. This list contains the most recently added resources. This section also contains a list of popular resources, which are those resources that have been visited most frequently by users of the site. There is also a list of recommended resources, which are those that have been identified as particularly helpful by the Senior Research Associate.
