| The Redland Community Centre has offices at Capalaba and Cleveland. The centre offers to the community a wide range of individual and family support services including support, crisis intervention, time limited generalist counselling, education courses and information including referrals, self help and support groups, advocacy, liaison, social networks and community development. The centre also provides emergency relief.
Several support groups run from the centre including Bayside Legal Service, a 40+ women's interaction group, a birth mothers support group, a men's support group, a Fibromyalgia support group and University of the Third Age.
Courses are run on a variety of topics including alternative health, assertiveness training, parenting, coping with everyday stress, self esteem, women's health, life skills for men, relaxation, meditation, crafts and cooking.
The centre also conducts a Toddler Tactics course, which promotes parenting skills and establishes networks within the local community. |
