| Caring Connections offer persons dealing with a life-threatening illness volunteer services such as companionship, respite services, transport to medical appointments, shopping, taking client and carer on outings, practical support such as help with light washing, washing up, snack preparation and errands, socialisation and recreational activities, and massage of hands and feet of client. Volunteers continue to visit and support client and carer when client is admitted to one of the partner's facilities eg. Mt Olivet hospice.
Caring Connections also provide access to physical resources and information such as books and videos, carer education sessions, carer and client support groups, relaxation classes, art and music therapy groups, group outings, video evenings, access to counsellors and complementary therapy for a reduced fee. |
